The old forum software was not compatible with the newer versions of PHP, and thus the site just broke, it wasn't even connectible for a while.

gt24 did a great job in keeping all the data in tact and just ported it over.

ouch....yea glad to see the important stuff is the same...just no more nostalgia haha, do like some of the new features though so I'll give him that XD

as for me, I've been ok got a new job mid October last year, was sick of how things were being run but eh that's life, however with new job, even though I now have a set schedule, and working aprox same hours as last, because of how it's being done, seems I have even less free time if that's possible lol. atm I work for amazon at a FC, work mon tue thur fri 6:30pm-5:00am with a 1hr and 15min drive (2hr 30min for there and back) soooo yea fun times.

I've never been big on mods per say. It kind of made the whole upgrading thing a mess.

I do have backups here and there of the old forums... but don't think they are too useful anymore these days.

The only way to do it propperly in my book is remove all mods, then upgrade, then reinstall the mods when they are ported to the new version of phpBB.

It's a pain in the ass otherwise.
