Steps to do BEFORE posting here

It seems a lot of threads are being made with problems that could be avoided by something like restarting your PC. So here's a sticky I wrote quickly, that everyone should go over BEFORE making a post here. (Anyone can add to this list if it's a valid point).

Technical Support Sticky

Your computer is not working? Your game is not running properly? Do the following BEFORE making a thread about it in the forums:

• 1. Restart your computer.
  2. Update video-card drivers.
  3. Make sure you can actually run the game (DO NOT USE "Can You Run It"!!! Google the following: "GAME_NAME minimum requirements")
  4. Google your problem.
  5. If it's a steam game, verify the integrity of the game cache, by right-clicking on the game. Then click properties. Then click on the "Local Files" tab. Then click on the button called "verify integrity of game cache".
  6. Re-install the game, without rushing through the install, make sure you install it in the right place, and by running the setup as admin (In Win. Vista).
  7. Try running the game/application as administrator (Win. Vista).
  8. Computers do not lie. If you have an error like "Invalid Password" then you don't have the right password. Don't blame the computer for your mistakes.
